How You Can Help Volunteering

Volunteering | Charitable Giving

There are several opportunities to serve here at P.A. Peterson Center for Health. We treasure our volunteers and are grateful for their time and their gifts that we share.

Being part of our Barnabas ministry is one way to serve. Barnabas classes are available at least twice a year. These classes teach people to encourage through listening and to have the best conversations possible with people.

P.A. Peterson is proud to have more than 100 Barnabas ministers who visit residents at P.A. Peterson. Please contact Chaplain Olson for more information on the Barnabas ministry. Or visit the Barnabas Web site.

Some other examples of how to volunteer include:

  • Visit with residents
  • Read to residents
  • Assist residents with activities such as crafts, Bingo or exercise
  • Play cards, games or work puzzles with residents
  • Join the Auxiliary (Friends of P.A. Peterson)
  • Assist with birthday parties
  • Donate time to our Gift Shop

Your time can make a difference in a resident's life.

Volunteers provide social contacts with residents, keeping them connected to the world and staying active.
