How You Can Help
By supporting the services and programs of Lutheran Social Services of Illinois (LSSI), you help to strengthen individuals, families and communities.

Make a tax-deductible contribution
P.A. Peterson Center for Health, a program of LSSI, is funded by individual contributions and planned gifts, the Illinois synods and churches of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA), government grants, fees for services, community funds, foundations and corporations.

Your gift can make a difference in the lives of those people served by P.A. Peterson. For example:

• Your gift of $250 would pay for special refreshments for P.A. Peterson’s weekly happy hour for more than 50 residents for one month.
• Your gift of $500 would enable 19 P.A. Peterson residents to go on two special outings during the year.
• Your gift of $1,000 will purchase one commercial refrigerator to be located in the common area at the nursing facility, so that residents have access to snacks.
• Your gift of $2,500 will fund the Freedom through Functionality Fitness fees for 14 Medicaid residents for one year.
• Your gift of $5,000 will provide a whirlpool bathtub and renovations to a shower room.

LSSI has a long, faithful history of serving people. LSSI's services have brought hope, healing and life to children, families and adults, young and old. Whether supported through an outright gift or planned gift, LSSI programs are made possible through the generosity and commitment of people like you. A planned gift helps LSSI ensure its future -- enabling the agency to expand existing programs; create new ministries and provide innovative programming -- an LSSI hallmark. While vital for LSSI, your gift can also help further your financial and charitable goals.

Planned gifts include gifts made via your will, charitable gift annuities, charitable trusts, gifts of life insurance and gifts of retirement plans.
