| Welcome to P.A. Peterson Center for Health |
P.A. Peterson Center for Health is tucked in a beautiful, quiet neighborhood of northeast Rockford. That peaceful feeling is evident within the walls of P.A. Peterson as well, where there are a variety of options to meet your medical and/or social needs.
Whether it's apartment living (either independent or sheltered care), short-term rehabilitation, outpatient therapy, a community fitness program, nursing care services, special programs for people with Alzheimer's disease/dementia, hospice care or respite care, we are pleased that we can offer you a full continuum of care.
P.A. Peterson Center for Health is a program of Lutheran Social Services of Illinois (LSSI) where our mission of providing healing, justice and wholeness to people and communities is carried out every day.
P.A. Peterson has changed over time but remains committed to that mission. We have been a preferred provider since our inception in 1941. We are honored to serve the community and work hard to preserve the excellent reputation we have achieved.

P.A. Peterson provides more service areas than any other provider in Rockford.
We are
proud to be a recognized leader of culture change. Culture change is an evolution in the nursing home field right now,
helping people to recognize the need to change nursing homes to be more person-centered and less institutional.
We have buffet dining/open dining and some innovative recreational opportunities, including happy hour, and we have initiated a thorough training program for our staff to understand the change process and
how we will all work as a team to continue to improve the lives of the elders we serve.
